The Lure Estate lies off the beaten track beside a pretty river in Goldsborough. There by the rainforest, under a bamboo canopy with kingfisher birds and small lizards, you will find a beautiful peaceful place a world away from the Windward Road.
It is a converted Cocoa House -now a Guest House and nature resort - with a lovely waterfall, both named for one of nature's wonders, the rainbow.

Rainbow and Twin River Waterfalls nature walk.

"Fantastic Walk and Waterfall!! Great guide and owner with superb information and kindness...." wrote Kim and Tony of the UK March 2002.

The location, 1 1/2 miles (under 2km) from the Windward main Road, is a setting serene yet alive with Tobago's abundant nature - bird song and playful lizards, butterflies dancing amidst the lush greenery of the tropical rainforest .... its ginger lilies, heliconias, and majestic bamboo canopies.

After a short 20 minute walk along the nature trail beneath these inspiring "cathedral" arches you emerge at the spectacular Rainbow Waterfall where a rainbow frequently dances in the spray!!
Even the most jaded visitor is captivated by the sight.

The trek continues on through the Mot-Mot fields to Twin River waterfall with the chance to spot shy caiman there. (Allow approximately 3 hours for the full walk offered Daily between 10am - 5pm)

NOTE- Access to the waterfalls lies through this privately-owned estate. Kindly request authorisation for your visit at the main house before proceeding.

Rainbow Nature Resort - the Guest House

The main building is a converted Cocoa House built 30 years ago and STILL functioning! It offers a unique opportunity to linger at the edge of the tropical rainforest in a style of building fast disappearing. During their stay visitors may get a taste of how cocoa (cacao) is processed from growth on cocoa trees to picking of the beans, drying .... and finally sampling a Tobago breakfast beverage specialty "cocoa-tea" . Guests are free to wander through the gently spreading grounds with its abundant tropical fruit garden. The Estate has 50 acres of land with cocoa, citrus, coffee, mangoes and avocadoes.

The Converted Cocoa house with its moveable copra tray roof houses a country inn with 4 tastefully furnished guest rooms - with full size or twin beds, private (ensuite) bathrooms, hot and cold water. Linens provided.
Each room has a view out to the tropical nature of the surrounding environment.

"We had a great stay from day one....(our hosts) made us feel like family. Great place, we will come again!" Mr& Mrs Boggis of Germany

Room Rates - Start at US 30 (single with breakfast Low season) to US $ 80 (double with breakfast and dinner High Season). Rates may change without notice. Payment accepted by cash, travelers checks or credit card (Visa and MasterCard)

Other meal plans are available at the Cocoa Tray Restaurant and Bar. Cozy and secluded, nevertheless great meals are prepared by request - ask for our calalloo soup, Julie's nectar or try some Pina Colada made with fresh ingredients! It's different! If you prefer, the kitchen is also available for you to prepare meals.
